Warwick, New York

What a wonderful place to live! Warwick has earned accolades from around the world for its historic charm, protected rural farmland, bustling village center, recreational and cultural offerings, and its warm, connected community of people.

Music lovers listen to the Swing Exchange on Warwick's Railroad Green on the first night of the Hudson Valley Jazz Festival on August 16, 2012.
There’s a bucolic and historic charm to the Village of Warwick. Nestled in the beautiful Hudson Valley, in the midst of apple orchards and dairy farms, Warwick is reminiscent of Norman Rockwell’s America. And yet, New York City is just an hour away.
Warwick’s vibrant Main Street boasts an attractive mix of shops, restaurants, galleries, and services. The Village of Warwick is dedicated to preserving its open space and agricultural heritage. There are equestrian centers and bike paths. The Appalachian Trail is nearby. And every spring and fall, birders gather to watch the hawks from an observation platform just outside of town.

Warwick Grove is a seamless extension of the social, cultural, and architectural mix that already thrives in the Village of Warwick. At the heart of the community is the Neighborhood Center, a rambling building with a gracious rocking chair porch overlooking the scenic green and adjacent public park.  Here you can join the book club, play a game of cards, work off last night’s dessert in the fitness center or loosen up the kinks with a yoga class. The heated outdoor pool is a beautiful place to relax in the summer sun.

Warwick’s Albert Wisner Public Library (AWPL) – located just a short stroll away from the heart of Warwick Grove – was recently named Library Journal’s “Best Small Library in America 2016.” Funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the award was created to encourage and showcase the exemplary work of libraries serving populations under 25,000. According to the Journal, “The Albert Wisner Public Library has truly earned Best Small Library in America recognition. It is a model library, changing with the times and technology, becoming the cultural core of the community, and partnering with any and all to make community life in Warwick better informed, more entertaining, and enriched for people of all ages.” Click here to read the full article. Congratulations, AWPL!
